Abstract

ABSTRAK Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit yang dimana pankreas tidak dapat memproduksi insulin secara optimal, sehingga insulin tidak dapat bekerja dengan baik yang menyebabkan gula darah meningkat. Diabetes melitus ditandai dengan kadar glukosa darah melebihi normal yaitu kadar gula darah sewaktu sama atau lebih dari 200 mg/dL. Penelitian ini dilakukan agar dapat mengetahui kadar gula darah pasien sehingga memungkinkan untuk menekan terjadinya kasus komplikasi DM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menggambaran kadar gula darah pada pasien DM tipe 2 pada saat masuk rumah sakit di RSUD Wangaya Tahun 2022. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis deskriptif observasional. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam dalam penelitian ini yaitu data sekunder dari rekam medik pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 di RSUD Wangaya Tahun 2022. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisa data statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan karakteristik responden sebagian besar berusia 51-60 tahun dengan jumlah 11 responden (36,7%) dengan responden terbanyak berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 19 responden (63,3%). Responden yang tidak memiliki riwayat penyakit berjumlah 19 responden (63,3%). Diharapkan perawat tidak hentinya memberikan edukasi perencanaan pola makan, aktivitas jasmani seperti latihan olahraga senam kaki agar dapat menekan kasus komplikasi pada penderita DM. Kata kunci: DM Tipe 2, Kadar gula darah ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a disease that the pancreas cannot produce insulin optimally, so insulin cannot work properly which causes blood sugar to increase. DM is characterized by blood sugar levels exceeding normal, namely blood sugar levels at current times or more than 200 mg/dL. This study was conducted in order to determine the patient's blood sugar level so that it’s possible to suppress the occurrence of DM complications. The purpose of this study was to describe blood sugar levels in type 2 DM patients on entry to the hospital at RSUD Wangaya in 2022. The type of research used was descriptive observational type. The type of data used in this study is secondary data from the medical records of patients with type 2 DM at RSUD Wangaya in 2022. In this study was used descriptive statistical data analysis. The results showed that most of the respondents were aged 51-60 years with a total of 11 respondents (36.7%) with the most respondents being female as many as 19 respondents (63.3%). Respondents who did not have a history of disease were 19 respondents (63.3%). It’s hoped that nurses will not stop providing education on diet planning and physical activities so that they can suppress cases of complications in DM patients.
