Abstract
THE DESCRIPTION OF KNOWLEDGE’S LEVEL OF DENTAL AND ORAL HYGIENE MAINTENANCE AS WELL AS THE TEETH CARIES EXPERIENCE OF TEENAGERS ON 2022 (The study was conducted at at Banjar Binong, Werdi Bhuwana Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency) NI MADE ERAWATI ABSTRAC Knowledge is the result of human sensing or the knowing an object through the senses it possesses. Mostly, person's knowledge is acquired through the sense of hearing and sight. One of the factor people ignore their dental and oral health issues because lack of knowledge about dental and oral hygiene. Dental and oral hygiene is a condition where the oral cavity of a person is free of dirt, such as plaque and calculus. Toothache is a disease that related with food and lifestyle. The dental health of teenagers increased risk because the freedom to make their own choices of consuming foods that contained plenty of sugar and effect to several changes in dental hygiene. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of knowledge’s level of dental and oral hygiene maintenance as well as the teeth caries experience of teenagers at Banjar Binong, Werdi Bhuwana village, Badung Regency on 2022. The study is belonged to descriptive study which collected the data by doing survey. There were 30 people as respondents in this study. The result of this study there are (50%) respondents with good criteria. The average knowledge of respondents is 71.67 with sufficient criteria. The Percentage of caries experience (dmf-t) of respondents is 50%. And the average caries (dmf-t) experience of respondents is 1.00. The conclusion of the study is that most respondents have good category of dental and oral hygiene. And the average caries (dmf-t) experience of respondents is 1.00, which means the average for each respondent have as much as 1 per person caries experience.
