Abstract
THE DIFFERENCE OF NUTRITIONAL STATUS BASED ON THE LEVEL OF EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE OF MOTHERS ABOUT NUTRITION FOR CHILDREN UNDER FIVE IN POSYANDU, KERAMAS VILLAGE, BLAHBATUH, GIANYAR ABSTRACT Nutritional status is the state of the body as a result of eating food and the use of nutrients. The nutritional status of toddlers is one of the health problems faced by the Indonesian state. One indicator of nutritional status is weight according to the age of nutritional status that can describe the current nutritional status (when measured). Efforts to achieve good toddler nutritional status cannot be separated from the education and knowledge of parents, especially mothers as caregivers because the mother of someone who is responsible for the organization of the family including for toddlers for it, high education and a mother's understanding of toddler nutrition becomes very important. The purpose of this study is to find out the difference in nutritional status based on the level of education and knowledge of mothers about toddler nutrition in Posyandu, Keramas Village, Blahbatuh, Gianyar. The research conducted is observational with a cross sectional design. The sample size in this study was 88 samples. Data collection is done by in-person interviews using sample identity questionnaires and maternal knowledge. The normality test used is the sminorv kolmogorof which states that the data is distributed normally. Distribution of samples based on weight index by age is very less weight (3.41%), less weight (9.09%), normal body weight (75.00%), risk of more weight (12.50%). The distribution of respondents based on the level of education is basic education (20.45%), The distribution of sampelsts based on education level is low education (72,73%), higher education (27,27%). The distribution of sampelsts based on knowledge is good knowledge (60.23%), less knowledge (39.77%). The results of the study based on the Independent t-test obtained p-value at the education level p = 0,384 (p>0.05) while on the knowledge of the mother p = 0,012 (p<0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is no difference in nutritional status based on maternal education but there are differences in nutritional status based on the mother's knowledge of toddler nutrition.
