Abstract
CORRELATION BETWEEN KNOWLAGDE AND ATTITUDE WITH APPLICATION OF HYGIENE AND SANITATION BY FOOD HANDLER IN NUTRITION INSTALLATION PRIMA MEDIKA HOSPITAL DENPASAR ABSTRACT Sanitary hygiene is an effort to control risk factors for food contamination. Poor hygiene and sanitation are factors that influence the occurrence of food poisoning. The application of hygiene and sanitation in handling is influenced by factors of knowledge and attitudes of food handlers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the application of hygiene and sanitation by food handlers at the nutrition installation of Prima Medika Hospital Denpasar. This type of research is observational analytic with a cross-sectional design. The sample size in this study was 29 samples. Knowledge and attitude data were collected through interviews using questionnaires, and application data by observing. Analysis of the relationship between knowledge and application of hygiene and sanitation of food handlers was processed by statistical analysis of Spearman Rank. The results of the bivariate test showed no significant relationship with a p-value of 0.491 (p>0.05). The strength of the relationship is indicated by the value of r or the correlation coefficient of 0.133 which means there is no correlation between knowledge and the application of hygiene and sanitation. Analysis of the relationship between attitudes and the application of hygiene and sanitation of food handlers was processed by statistical analysis of Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results of the bivariate test showed that there was a significant relationship with a p-value of 0.01 (p <0.05). The strength of the relationship is indicated by the value of r or the correlation coefficient of 0.633 which means it has a strong correlation.
