Abstract

BREASTFEEDING AMONG PREGNANT WOMEN AT THIRD TRIMESTER BEFORE AND AFTER COUNSELING AT PUSKESMAS I DENPASAR BARAT ABSTRACT Breast milk is a baby's main food that very useful to optimize growth and development of babies. Based riskesdas 2016 exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still less than 42%, assessed that the low awareness of the community, especially pregnant women about the importance of breastfeeding.This study aims to determine differences in knowledge of pregnant women third trimester before and after being given counseling about exclusive breastfeeding. This research was conducted at Puskesmas I Denpasar Barat, used pre-experimental study with One Group Pretest-Posttest design with a sample size of 40 samples. Samples were taken by purposive sampling, data were collected by questionnaire The results obtained that the average score of knowledge before giving counseling was 64.00. The average knowledge after being given counseling is 84.50. Hypothesis test results Paired t Test statistic shows that p value = 0,000 < 0,05, tcount = 39.415>ttable 2.023, and the confidence interval of 19.448-21.552 with a confidence level of 95%, so get there is a difference is a significant difference to the third trimester pregnant woman's knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding. It is hoped that the activity of giving counseling especially on exclusive breastfeeding is done on a scheduled to improve mother's knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords: Counseling, Knowledge, exclusive breastfeeding PERBEDAAN PENGETAHUAN IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH DIBERIKAN PENYULUHAN TENTANG AIR SUSU IBU EKSKLUSIF DI PUSKESMAS I DENPASAR BARAT ABSTRAK Air susu ibu (ASI) merupakan makanan utama bayi yang sangat bermanfaat untuk tumbuh kembang bayi secara optimal. Riskesdas tahun 2016 pemberian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia masih kurang sebesar 42% dinilai bahwa masih rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terutama ibu hamil akan pentingnya ASI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengetahuan ibu hamil trimester III sebelum dan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan tentang ASI eksklusif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Puskesmas I Denpasar Barat, jenis penelitian pre-ekskperimental dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest dengan besar sampel sebanyak 40 sampel. Sampel diambil dengan cara purposive sampling, data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rata-rata skor pengetahuan sebelum diberikan penyuluhan adalah 64,00. Rata-rata pengetahuan setelah diberikan penyuluhan adalah 84,50. Hasil uji hipotesa Paired t Test didapatkan nilai p value = 0,000 < 0,05, thitung = 39,415 > ttabel 2,023, dan interval kepercayaan (IK) sebesar 19,448 ¬- 21,552 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%, jadi didapatkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap pengetahuan ibu hamil trimester III tentang ASI eksklusif. Diharapkan agar kegiatan pemberian penyuluhan terutama mengenai ASI eksklusif dilaksanakan secara terjadwal untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI eksklusif.
