Abstract

Blood pressure is the force exerted by blood to pass through each area of the vessel wall, arising from the pressure on the artery walls. Hypertension is a condition when the systolic blood pressure is more than 120 mmHg and the diastolic blood pressure is more than 80 mmHg. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of blood pressure in the elderly in Banjar Tegal, Selat Village, Abiansemal IV Health Center Work Area. The type of research used is descriptive with purposive sampling method. The number of samples used is 51 respondents. The results showed that aged 60-74 years were 76.5% and the elderly aged 75-90 years were 23.5%. Respondents were 58.8% female and 41.2% male. Normal blood pressure category is 23.6%, elevation is 15.6%, stage I hypertension is 15.6% and stage II hypertension is 43.3% and hypertension in crisis hypertension category is 1.9%. The average value of blood pressure in the elderly is 135/85 mmHg which is included in the blood pressure category of stage I hypertension. So it is expected that the Health Center will carry out early prevention of hypertension in the elderly so as to increase the value of normal blood pressure in the elderly. Keywords : blood presure, elderly, hipertension Tekanan darah adalah tenaga yang diupayakan darah untuk melewati setiap daerah dari dinding pembuluh darah, timbul dari adanya tekanan pada dinding arteri. Hipertensi merupakan keadaan ketika tekanan darah sistolik lebih dari 120 mmHg dan tekanan darah diastolik lebih dari 80 mmHg. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai tekanan darah pada lansia di Banjar Tegal Desa Selat Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Abiansemal IV. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan metode Purposive Sampling. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan yaitu 51 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berumur 60-74 tahun sebesar 76,5% dan lansia berumur 75-90 tahun sebesar 23,5%. Responden berjenis kelamin perempuan sebesar 58,8% dan berjenis kelamin laki-laki sebesar 41,2%. Kategori tekanan darah normal sebesar 23,6%, elevasi sebesar 15,6%, hipertensi stage I sebesar 15,6% dan hipertensi stage II sebesar 43,3% dan hipertensi pada kategori hipertensi krisis sebesar 1,9%. Nilai rata-rata tekanan darah pada lansia adalah 135/85 mmHg dimana ini termasuk kategori tekanan darah hipertensi stage I. Dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil lebih tinggi lansia menunjukkan tekanan darah diatas nilai normal. Maka diharapkan Puskesmas untuk melakukan pencegahan dini hipertensi pada lansia sehingga meningkatkan nilai tekanan darah normal pada lansia. Kata kunci : tekanan darah, lansia, hipertensi
