Abstract
THE DESCRIPTION OF HBA1C LEVELS IN PATIENT WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS IN RSUD WANGAYA ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a degenerative chronic disease and characterized by the increasing of normal blood sugar level which causes high level of glucosuria. The report of Riskesdas Baliin 2013 showed that the number of DM patients in all Denpasar Public Health Centers in 2012 was high. The measurement of HbA1c is an accurate way to determine high blood sugar levels over the past two to three months. The aim of this study wasto determine the level of HbA1c in Diabetes mellitus Type 2 patients at the RSUD Wangaya Denpasar City. This research is a descriptive studyand the obtained data will be described using tables and narations. Primary data wereobtained by conducting interviews and laboratory examination. The respondents were30 patients of Diabetes mellitus type 2 who performed HbA1c examination at Wangaya Hospital. The results of this study showed that respondents with controlled HbA1c mostly (87.5%) had regular exercise habits, regular dietary intake (57.1%), and routine use of drugs / insulin (66.7%) although most respondents has a normal body mass index (45.5%). Keywords :HbA1c, Diabetes mellitus, blood glucose, RSUD Wangaya GAMBARAN KADAR HbA1C PADA PASIEN DIABETESMELITUS TIPE 2 DI RSUD WANGAYA ABSTRAK Diabetes melitus (DM) merupakan penyakit menahun (degeneratif) yang ditandai dengan naiknya kadar glukosa darah puasa (hiperglikemia) yang mengakibatkan tingginya kadar glukosa darah dalam urin. Laporan Riskesdas Bali Tahun 2013 menunjukkan bahwa jumlah kunjungan pasien DM di seluruh Puskesmas daerah Denpasar pada tahun 2012 cukup tinggi. Pengukuran HbA1c adalah cara yang akurat untuk menentukan tingginya kadar gula darah selama dua sampai tiga bulan terakhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar HbA1c pada pasien Diabetes melitus Tipe 2 di RSUD Wangaya Kota Denpasar. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan penyajian data menggunakan tabel dan dijelaskan dengan narasi.Data primer didapatkan dengan melakukan wawancara dan pemeriksaan laboratorium.Responden adalah semua pasien DM tipe 2 yang melakukan pemeriksaan HbA1c di RSUD Wangaya sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan responden dengan HbA1c terkontrol sebagian besar (87,5%) telah menerapkan kebiasaan rutin berolahraga, diet asupan makanan secara teratur (57,1%), dan rutin mengkonsumsi obat/insulin (66,7%) walaupun sebagian besar responden memiliki indeks massa tubuh normal (45,5%).
