Abstract
THE DIFFERENCES OF TEENAGERS’ KNOWLEDGE BEFORE AND AFTER GIVEN SEX EDUCATION ABOUT PREMARITAL SEX THROUGH VIDEO ABSTRACT Adolescents will experience a stage of sexual organ maturity as well as a psychological perspective. The most common juvenile delinquency problem is premarital sex which is a risk of pregnancy and transmission of sexually transmitted diseases due to lack of knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in adolescent knowledge before and after being given premarital sex education with video. The method used is comparative analytic with pre-experimental design pretest-posttest design. The data used are primary data using a questionnaire. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Amlapura from March to April 2021. The research sample was 62 adolescents aged 15-16 years, using probability sampling with a simple random sampling method. The statistical test used was the paired T-Test (α = 0.05). The results of this study the knowledge before being given premarital sex education were 64.58 and after being given video it became 89.61. The results of the paired T-Test statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.00. This shows p <α, which means that there is an influence from the pre-marital sex education given. The conclusion of this study is that there are differences in the knowledge of adolescents before and after being given premarital sex education with video. Suggestions for future researchers the study is expected to collect data with an open-ended questionnaire and the research is conducted face-to-face.
