Abstract
THE OVERVIEW OF ADOLESCENT KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDES ABOUT THE PREVENTION OF HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS/ ACQUIRED IMMUNO DEFICIENCY SYNDROME The Study Was Conducted at the Senior High School 1 Kuta, Badung District ABSTRACT Adolescent was closely related to psychological development in the puberty period and accompanied by sexual development. It was a risk group for transmission of Human Immunodeficiency Virus / Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome. The cases of HIV/AIDS in the city of Badung was 3.141 people. The purpose of this research was to determine the description of knowledge and attitudes of adolescent about the prevention of Human Immunodeficiency Virus / Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome in Senior High School 1 Kuta. The type of the research was descriptive research with cross-sectional approach. The method which used in this research was probability sampling technique. It was 84 people sample. The data collection was by distributing questionnaires through google form. The data analysis was by using unvaried in the form of frequency distribution. The result shows that of 84 respondents, 56,0% have good knowledge, 36,9% have sufficient knowledge, and 7,1% have lack knowledge. However, the attitudes of adolescent about HIV/AIDS prevention whose positive attitude are 66,7% and respondents whose negative attitude are 33,3%. By seeing above result, it can be concluded that the description of knowledge and attitudes of adolescent about the prevention HIV/AIDS in Senior High School 1 Kuta shows that have good knowledge with a positive attitude in the prevention of HIV/AIDS. It can be proposed to the students to do more active in positive activities to avoid contacting with term of free-sexual which resulted in HIV/AIDS. Keywords: HIV/AIDS; Knowledge; Attitude
