Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF STUDENT KNOWLEDGE ABOUT EARLY CHILDHOOD MARRIAGE IN PUBLIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1 PETANG BADUNG ABSTRACK Knowledge is one factor cause early marriage, low mindset can effect person’s behavior. Early marriage have effect for the health, mental and education. Early marriage is a marriage that is performed under the age of 18 years or less than 20 years. The purpose of this research is to describe the students knowledge about child's early marriage. The research used descriptive method to show the representation about the object with questionnaire. The study population was all class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Petang from 6 classes totaling 194 people and a sample size of 66 people selected using proportional random sampling techniques. The results of the study generally showed that from 66 people had sufficient knowledge as many as 33 respondents (50%), 25 respondents (37.9%) had good knowledge, as many as 8 respondents (12.1%) had less knowledge. The conclusion is that the description of students knowledge about children's early marriage in SMA Negeri 1 Petang Badung indicates that there is sufficient knowledge value to support students in assessing early marriage. It is suggested that students are expected to be more proactive in obtaining information about early marriage and its risks. Key word : attitude; early marriage
