Abstract
Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder that is chronic in nature and most often encountered in society, schizophrenia is characterized by delusions, in sufferers usually relapses and personality disorders and the inability to function in daily life. Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder in the form of loss of contact with reality and difficulty distinguishing what is real from what is not The aims of research is to identify the level of self-care ability in schizophrenic patients at the Gianyar 2 Public Health Center UPTD in 2021. The method of research used was descriptive research. The number of samples in this study amounted to 35 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia. The results showed that from 35 respondents there were 30 people (80%) in the independent category while 4 people (11.4%) in the assistance category and 1 person (2.9%) in the dependency category. The conclusion of this study is that the level of self-care ability in schizophrenic patients at UPTD Puskesmas Gianyar 2 is in the independent category.
