Abstract
The high maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is still a priority problem in the health sector. Anemia is also one of the main nutritional problems in Indonesia. Anemia in pregnancy can affect the length of the baby being born which can cause growth disorders, prematurity, congenital defects or low birth weight fetuses, stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine relationship of anemia status during pregnancy with birth weight and birth length of babies at RSUD Buleleng. Data collection techniques in this study secondary data collection which includes sample identity data, data on the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at RSUD Buleleng, data on birth weight of babies and data on birth length of babies. The result showed that the sample age ranged from 17 years to 43 years, with 18 patients with anemia dtatus and 32 non anemia, with a distribution of baby birth weight less than 22% and normal birth weight 78% and short body leght 22%, normal leght of tall baby 30%. There is a relationship between anemia status and birth weight at RSUD Buleleng with p value 0.00 which is smaller than p value 0.05 and there is a relationship between anemia status and body length of babies born at RSUD Buleleng with p value 0.00 which is smaller than the p value of 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between anemia status during pregnancy and birth weight and birth length at RSUD Buleleng Keyword : anemia, baby birth weight, baby birth length
