Abstract

ABSTRACT The Relationship Between Foot Self-Care with Diabetic Foot Occurrence Diabetic foot is one of diabetes mellitus complication which have a high number of morbidity and mortality. Foot self-care is one of preventive measure to reduce the incidence of diabetic foot disease. The purpose of this literature review is to know the relationship between foot self-care with diabetic foot occurrence. Using 4 database that are Portal Garuda, Clinical Key, Research Gate, and Google Scholar, which were sought from 2011 to 2020 in the form of research and reviews that discussed foot self-care with diabetic foot occurrence. The keywords are foot self-care, diabetic foot occurrence, and diabetic foot ulcer are used to search at electronic database. After being selected, the were 5 journals that discussed the related variables. Based on the journal analysis, there were 4 journals stated there is a relationship between foot self-care with diabetic foot occurrence with range of p value 0,000 to 0,049. While 1 other journal stated there is no relationship between two variables. However, among foot self-care only lotion applying that significantly predicted diabetic foot occurrence in patients with neuropathy. Diabetics’ feet if not treated properly that will worsen the condition of the foot and over time will become injuries. However, diabetic patients with neuropathy aren’t enough just did foot self-care, but need to balance other diabetic self-care management to avoid the incidence of diabetic foot disease. The conclusion of this literature review there is a relationship between foot self-care with diabetic foot occurrence. Keywords : foot self-care, diabetic foot, diabetes mellitus ABSTRAK Hubungan Perawatan Kaki dengan Kejadian Kaki Diabetes Kaki diabetes merupakan salah satu komplikasi diabetes mellitus dengan tingkat morbiditas dan mortalitas yang tinggi. Perawatan kaki menjadi salah satu tindakan preventif untuk menanggulangi insidensi kaki diabetes. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan perawatan kaki dengan kejadian kaki diabetes. Menggunakan empat database yaitu Portal Garuda, Clinical Key, Research Gate dan Google Scholar yang dicari mulai tahun 2011 sampai 2020 berupa penelitian dan review yang membahas perawatan kaki dengan kejadian kaki diabetes. Kata kunci perawatan kaki, kejadian kaki diabetes, ulkus kaki diabetik digunakan untuk mencari pada database elektronik. Setelah diseleksi, didapatkan 5 jurnal dengan variabel terkait. Berdasarkan analisa jurnal didapatkan 4 jurnal yang menyatakan terdapat hubungan perawatan kaki dengan kejadian kaki diabetes dengan rentang p value 0,000 sampai 0,049. Sedangkan 1 jurnal lainnya menyatakan tidak ada hubungan kedua variabel. Namun, diantara perawatan kaki hanya perilaku memakai pelembab yang secara signifikan memprediksi kaki diabetes pada pasien dengan neuropati. Kaki penderita diabetes apabila tidak dirawat dengan baik akan memperburuk kondisi kaki dan lama kelamaan akan terjadi luka. Kendati demikian, penderita diabetes dengan neuropati tidak cukup hanya melakukan perawatan kaki, namun diperlukan keseimbangan pendendalian diabetes lainnya untuk mencegah insidensi kaki diabetes. Kesimpulan penulisan ini adalah terdapat hubungan perawatan kaki dengan kejadian kaki diabetes. Kata kunci : perawatan kaki, kaki diabetes, diabetes mellitus
