Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MACRO NUTRIENT CONSUMPTION LEVEL AND NUTRITIONAL STATUS WITH THE PHYSICAL FITNESS OF FOOTBALL CLUB MEMBERS TUNAS PUTRA SCHOOL IN UBUD ABSTRACT Physical fitness is a person's ability to do daily work lightly without feeling significant fatigue and still has reserves of energy to carry out other activities. A high level of physical fitness in soccer is needed because the game of football is a type of sport that is very fast and lasts a long time, so it will drain the energy and also the stamina of the players. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of macro nutrient consumption and nutritional status with the physical fitness of football club members. This study was used an observational method with a cross sectional design. The sample in this study was the entire population, amounting to 32 people. The data were collected by doing a 2x24 hours recall, weighing in the human weigh and to measure the height, 600 m running test, and an interview using a questionnaire. In analyzing the data, the researcher used the Spearman Rank Correlation test. The researcher found that most of the sample's carbohydrate consumption which is (59.4%) was in the normal category. The result of the fat consumption level (65.6%), the protein consumption level (68.8%) were in the normal category. Most of the sample nutritional status (87.5%) was in the category of good nutrition. Overall, most of the samples (59.4%) had good physical fitness. There is a relationship between the level of macro nutrient consumption (carbohydrates, fat, protein) with physical fitness (p<0.05). Therefore, there is a relationship between the level of macro nutrient consumption and nutritional status (p<0.05). Also, there is a relationship between nutritional status and physical fitness (p<0.05). As a conclusion, it is advisable to consume healthy and nutritionally balanced foods in order to optimize the nutrients needs and to maintain an ideal body weight.
