Abstract
SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT AND SELECTION OF FOOD WITH JUNK FOOD CONSUMPTION FREQUENCY IN OBESITY CHINLDREN ABSTRACT In Indonesia, the problem of obesity is a nutritional problem that cannot be resolved. In recent decades, the prevalence of obesity in children has continued to increase. In Indonesia, based on Riskesda data by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2013, the prevalence of overweight and obesity in children aged 5-12 years reached 18.8%. Overweight or obesity occurs due to energy intake is higher than expended. High energy intake can be caused by the social environment, food choices and the frequency of consumption of junk food. The purpose of this study was to examine the results of research on the social environment and food selection and the frequency of consumption of junk food in obese children based on a study of the journal literature in the last 5 years. This type of research is a literature review research using Google Scholar with the keywords social environment, food selection, frequency of consumption of junk food, and obese children as many as 9 journals. The conclusion of research on the social environment and food selection and the frequency of consumption of junk food in obese children is that the social environment and food choices affect the frequency of consumption of junk food in obese children.
