Abstract
OVERVIEW OF ACUTE PAIN MANAGEMENT IN BURN PATIENS AT SANJIWANI HOSPITAL, GIANYAR, 2021 ABSTRACT Pain is defined as unpleasant sensory and emotional experiences associated with actual or potential tissue damage. Burn pain management is an integral part of burn therapy. Pain in burns is acute pain, poor handling will cause complications, one of which is chronic pain. The purpose of this study is to identify nursing actions for acute pain management in components, observation, therapeutic, education and collaboration in Burn Patients at Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar. Year 2021. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research with a cross-sectional approach method. The sampling method was using prototype sampling. This research was conducted in April-May in the Medical Record Room of RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar with a total sample of 33 respondents. The results of this study, in terms of the characteristics of respondents, were mostly experienced from the age range of 36-79 years, followed by the majority of male patients (63.6%). This study also found that not all components of observation, therapeutic, education and collaboration were carried out 100%. Key words: Burns, acute pain management
