Abstract
THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND DESCRIPTION OF DENTAL AND ORAL HYGIENE AT STUDENTS GRADE VII OF SMP N 3 EAST SELEMADEG OF 2018 ABSTRACT Dental and oral hygiene is a condition where in a person mount is free from plaque and calculus. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of knowledge and description of dental hygiene at SMP N 3 east Selemadeg, in Tabanan district of 2018. The type of this reseach in descriptive research. That is designed with survey design, the total population of this study amounted to 66 people. The type of data collected is the primary data sourced from checkup result and secondary data sourced from the list of names of students at the grade VII SMP N3 east selemadeg. The ways of colelecting knowledge level dat that is with the test of mouth and oral hygiene with direct. The result of the research show the knowledge about dental and oral hygiene with sufficient criteria that is 18 persons (27,27%) and dental hygiene of most students with medium criteria counted off 44 persons (66,66%). The average level of knowledge about oral hygiene is 66,21, which that means the level of knowledge about oral hygiene is in sufficient criteria. While the average oral hygiene is 1,71.
