Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Badung Regency in 2019 was below the total target or in the low category. The COVID-19 pandemic has also affected the success of breastfeeding. The results of a preliminary study at the Mangusada Hospital found that treatment in the isolation room had a negative impact on the breastfeeding process. The general purpose of this study was to describe the success of breastfeeding in mothers with a history of being treated in the COVID-19 isolation room at the Mangusada Hospital. This research includes quantitative descriptive research, cross-sectional approach with total sampling technique. The number of samples is 42 people. Time of data collection 10-17 May 2021. The analytical technique used is univariate analysis. Respondents in this study were 95.24% aged between 20-35 years, respondents were 64.28% parity multipara, with the highest education level of secondary education 80.96% and 59.52% more who did not work. Respondents who received and who did not receive IEC breastfeeding during the COVID-19 pandemic were almost evenly matched in isolation rooms. Respondents are included in the category of successfully breastfeeding their babies, but not succeeding in exclusive breastfeeding.
