Abstract
An Overview Of Children’s Knowledge Level About Prevention From Intestinal Worms In Pengeragoan Village On The Working Area Of The Public Health Center II Pekutatan Jembrana Regency In 2021 ABSTRACT Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) infection is one of the most common infections worldwide and affects disadvantaged communities with poor sanitary conditions. Knowledge of worms and how to prevent them are very important things that must be owned by children, so that this will reduce the risk of worms that occur in elementary school children. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of children about the prevention of worms in the Pengeragoan village, the working area of the II Pekutatan Publick Health Center. The type of research carried out in this research is descriptive quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted in the Pengeragoan village, the working area of Puskesmas II Pekutatan, from February to April 2021. The number of samples is 57 respondents using probability sampling method, namely simple random sampling. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire. The results showed that most of the respondents had a sufficient level of knowledge, namely as many as 42 people or as much as 73,7%, a good level of knowledge as many as 13 people or as much as 22,8% and at least at the level of knowledge was less than 2 people or by 3,5%. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is hoped that it can be used as input for preventing intestinal worms by maintaining a clean and healthy lifestyle and increasing knowledge about intestinal worms in children.
