Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF CHOLESTEROL LEVELS IN PATIENT WITH CORONARY HEART DISEASE AT THE GENERAL HOSPITAL IN THE KLUNGKUNG AREA FROM JANUARY TO DECEMBER 2020 By : Dinar Lorensa Ayu Krismaya ABSTRACT Coronary heart disease isa condition of heart failure due to the muscle supply of blood because of obstruction or blockage of the coronary arteries because of damage to the vascular wall (atherosclerosis). Atherosclerosis can be caused by a cholesterol imbalance that can be considered by considering the results of examination of total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides in the blood. The study aims to identify the cholesterol level of coronary heart disease patients at the Klungkung Hospital stage of January through December 2020. Design of this research is descriptive and using purposive sampling, with a sample number of as many as 105 respondents. The study was conducted on April 19-30, 2021, by a majority of 66 (62.9%) of respondents are of male sex, 78 (74.3%) of respondents are 45-64 years old, 49 (46.7%) of those with a high LDL level, 61 (58.1%) of those with low HDL, and 45 (42.9%) of those with high threshold triglycerides. It is necessary to monitor cholesterol and health education patients to change health behavior especially with risk factors, and a collaboration with a doctor in treating coronary heart disease patients in order to increase the cholesterol level in the optimum category.
