Abstract
Someone who suffers from mental disorders will experience the inability to function optimally in their daily lives. One of the severe mental disorders that are often found and treated is schizophrenia. The purpose of this study was to determine the nursing care for low self-esteem in Mr. NB who had hebephrenic schizophrenia in the Nakula room of the Bali Province Mental Hospital. The results of the study showed that the results showed that the patient felt useless because he failed in the pig trading business, before being taken to the hospital, the patient was often stunned and pensive. The results of the primary assessment on patients found the following data, namely the patient looked often moody, lacked eye contact, looked down frequently, the patient was more often silent without activity. The nursing diagnosis made on the patient is low self-esteem. One of the innovative interventions that can be used is occupational therapy for daily activities. Evaluations obtained after being given nursing care for 3 x 6 hours nursing problems of low self-esteem were resolved. The conclusion of the occupational therapy intervention is that this therapy can help patients carry out positive activities according to their abilities. So it is suggested to the implementing nurse in the Nakula Room of the Bali Provincial Mental Hospital to apply occupational therapy interventions to daily activities in patients with low self-esteem.
