Abstract
Congestive Heart Failure is a condition when the heart unable to pump enough blood to meet metabolic need of body's tissues. The purpose of this paper is to find out ineffective breathing pattern patient congestive heart failure in Emergency Department Sanglah Hospital Denpasar. The method is provision nursing care to Congestive Heart Failure patient for 2 x 60 minutes with intervention semi-fowler position and purse lips breathing, with nursing problem ineffective breathing pattern. The result of first evaluation that patient felt comfortable in semi-Fowler's position, RR 22 x/minute, SPO2 98% with simple face mask 8 LPM. The result of second evaluation is patient able to practice Purse Lips Breathing, RR 22 x/minute, SPO2 98% with simple face mask 8 LPM. Based on analysis result, the Semi Fowler Position and Purse Lips Breathing technique very effective to be applied together and complement each other. Innovation therapy that can be use is lavender aromatherapy and murottal al-quran in patient with ineffective breathing pattern. The result of this scientific work is for nurses to make an independent intervention in Emergency Department Sanglah Hospital and can be used as therapy when patient at home.
