Abstract
Asthma is a disease characterized by recurrent and reversible airway obstruction. Nurses as direct service providers to patients play an important role in providing nursing care for asthma patients. One form of therapy in overcoming the problem of ineffective breathing patterns in asthma patients is the purse lips breathing technique. The goal of this nurse's final scientific paper is to determine ineffective breath pattern nursing care for patients with bronchial asthma in the BRSU Tabanan Emergency Room. The method used was the provision of nursing care to patients with bronchial asthma at Mr.BD and Mr. P.T for 3 x 60 minutes with an innovative intervention giving the purse lips breathing technique, who experienced problems with ineffective breathing patterns. From the results of case analysis in patients, it was found that the purse lips breathing technique innovation intervention could help improve breathing patterns in bronchial asthma patients. The results of this scientific work can be input for nurses to make an independent nursing intervention at BRSU Tabanan and can be used as therapy when the patient is at home.
