Abstract
Women who gave birth with Covid 19 cases, they preferred the type of delivery by cesarean section (SC), even though until now there has been no recommendation of a safe way of delivery for women who gave birth with Covid 19. The type of cesarean delivery (SC) was determined based on obstetric indications, and family wishes. This study aims to determine the description of the type of delivery in women who give birth with Covid 19 at the Wangaya Hospital in Denpasar. This research is a descriptive observational study. The data was taken from the medical records of mothers who gave birth with Covid 19 at the Wangaya Denpasar Hospital in 2020 as many as 86 mothers gave birth. The results of the study stated that out of 84 mothers gave birth; it was found that 30 mothers with suspected Covid 19 gave birth by cesarean section (SC) which was 80% higher than that of giving birth vaginally, namely 20%. In 56 women who gave birth confirmed by Covid 19, it was found that they had higher cesarean delivery (SC), which was 64% compared to giving birth vaginally, namely 36%. Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that health workers will increase promotional and preventive efforts regarding Covid 19 in pregnant women and provide options for mothers who are giving birth regarding the type of delivery that will be carried out by paying attention to medical indications.
