Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF ANXIETY IN HYPERTENSION PATIENTS IN THE BULELENG 1 PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER IN 2021 ABSTRACT Hypertension in general can be defined as a systolic pressure of more than 140 mmHg and a diastolic pressure of more than 90 mmHg. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of anxiety in hypertensive patients. This research was conducted quantitatively with a descriptive design. Descriptive research design is a study that provides a description of anxiety in hypertensive patients in Buleleng 1 Public Health Center in 2021. This research was conducted in Buleleng 1 Public Health Center with a population of 1,107 respondents. Considering that the population in this study must be in accordance with the specific characteristics of the research objectives, this study used a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that of the 92 respondents, it was found that the majority were 35-45 years old, namely as many as 41 respondents (44.6%). The majority of women were 54 respondents (58.7%), the majority of junior high school education was 40 respondents (43.5%), and the majority of respondents were self-employed as many as 55 respondents (59.8%). The majority of respondents with mild anxiety levels in hypertension patients were 62 respondents (67.5%), moderate anxiety levels were 12 respondents (13%) and severe anxiety levels were 18 respondents or (19.5%). Exercise exercises that can reduce systolic and diastolic pressure in healthy middle age to relieve anxiety in hypertension.
