Abstract

RELATIONSHIP OF PARITY AND USE OF INTRA UTERINE DEV IACE POST-PLASENT RAHIM AT SANJIWANI GIANYAR PUBLIC HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Post-placental intrauterine contraceptives are useful to reduce unmet need with excess effectiveness immediately after insertion, a long-term method, very effective because they no longer need to remember, do not affect sexual intercourse, increase sexual comfort because there is no need to be afraid to get pregnant, no side effects hormonal, does not affect the quality and volume of milk, can be inserted immediately after delivery or after abortion (if there is no infection), can be used until menopause, no interaction with drugs, prevents ectopic pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal parity and post-placental intrauterine contraceptive use at Sanjiwani General Hospital, Gianyar.This research method is correlation analytic with case control design. The sample in this study was 32 people consisting of 16 cases (post-placental IUD acceptors) and 16 control groups (not post-placental IUD acceptors). The data source is secondary data that comes from the patient's medical record. Analysis using chi square. Results: Most of the mothers who gave birth at the General Hospital Sanjiwani Gianyar were primiparous 53.1%. Post-placental IUD users in this study were 50% of all respondents with their characteristics most of them were at the age of healthy reproduction, namely 20 years to 35 years. (68.75%), most of them graduated from high school / equivalent (75%), the most occupations were entrepreneurs (43.8%), and most of them were primiparous (62.5%). p value 0.288 (0.288> 0.005). Conclusion: there is no relationship between parity and use of post-placental intrauterine devices at Sanjiwani General Hospital, Gianyar. Keywords: IUD Post Placenta Parity
