Abstract
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a lung disease that lasts a long time due to airflow limitation caused by a combination of chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The purpose of writing this KIA-N is to find out how ineffective airway clearance nursing care in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in the ER of the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar in 2021. namely ineffective cough, unable to cough, excessive sputum, wheezing, rhonchi, restlessness, respiratory frequency changes, at diagnosis there are nursing diagnosis data according to the format in the IDHS, namely with components P (problem) and E (etiology) sign and symptom data, the nursing planning is given in accordance with the SLKI and SIKI which consists of the main intervention and supporting interventions, the nursing implementation is given in accordance with the nursing plan and in accordance with the author's reference theory, in the evaluation there are similarities with the author's reference theory using the SOAP method. It is hoped that by writing this KIA-N nurses are able to apply effective coughing exercises as an effective nursing action for patients with respiratory disorders or airway obstruction.
