Abstract
OVERVIEW OF LANE BEHAVIOR WITH GOUT ARTHRITIS IN MANGGIS VILLAGE, KEC. MANGGIS, KAB.KARANGASEM IN 2021 ABSTRACT Gout Arthritis is a joint disease caused by high uric acid in the blood. Gout arthritis is a disease in the elderly that often recurs. One of the factors that cause recurrence of gout arthritis is the non-compliance of the elderly with a low-purine diet. This study aims to determine the description of the behavior of the elderly with gout arthritis in Manggis Village, kec. Mangosteen, Kab. Karangasem in 2021. This research is a descriptive type of research with a quantitative design. The research was conducted in March-April 2021 in Manggis Village, with a total sample of 36 respondents. The results of this study, in terms of the characteristics of the respondents, found that the most age groups suffering from gout arthritis were 55- 64 years, 18 respondents (52.8%), with the most gender being 20 respondents (55.6%), the highest education was SD 27 respondents ( 75%), and the most occupations were farmers 16 respondents (44.4%). The results of the behavioral study of the elderly with gout arthritis mostly had less knowledge as many as 20 respondents (55.6%), a small proportion had good attitudes, namely 2 respondents (5.6%), and actions that were classified as sufficient 17 respondents (47.2%) . For the elderly it is recommended that there should be efforts to increase knowledge, attitudes and actions of the elderly in overcoming arthritis gout recurrence.
