Abstract
Knowledge of how to maintain oral health is very important given from an early age. The most common dental and oral health problems are dental caries Dental caries can occur in all ages of infants, children, adolescents, and adults. Child kindergarten is a child who is in the vulnerable age of four to six years, which is the figure of individuals who are in the process of development. The purpose of this study is to find out the mother's knowledge about nursing bottle caries and nursing bottle caries picture in children's Kindergarten- ladies Setia Budhi IV Mengwitani in 2018. This research is a descriptive research. The data collected is the primary data. The total study population amounted to 34 mothers and 34 children. The results showed that the percentage of two Mothers (5.88%) had knowledge of nursing bottle caries with very good criteria. Good criterion as many as three people (8,82%), enough criteria as many as 10 people (29,41%), criteria less as many as 14 people (41,18%) and 14,71% of respondents have knowledge with criterion failed. The average level of knowledge of Mother about nursing bottle caries Year 2018 that is 60.02 including enough criteria. A total of 16 children (47.06%) experienced nursing bottle caries and who did not experience nursing bottle caries as many as 18 (52.94%).
