Abstract
Knowledge is the result of knowing and this occurs after someone senses a certain object. Dental and oral hygiene is the condition of the teeth in the oral cavity in a clean state free of plaque and other debris on the surface of the teeth such as debris and calculus. Father is the parent of a son. This study aims to describe the level of knowledge of dental and oral health maintenance in family heads in 2021. This research was conducted in Karangasem Regency using descriptive research methods. This research was conducted in March-April 2021 with the number of respondents 51 households. The level of knowledge of the head of the family who has very good criteria is forty people (78.43%), good criteria for four people (7.84%), enough criteria for four people (7.84%), criteria for less one person (1.96%) ), and two people failed criteria (3.92%) with an average of 80.86. So the conclusion of this study is that most of the heads of families have a very good level of knowledge. It is recommended for the head of the family to increase knowledge of oral health maintenance. Key words: knowledge, maintenance of oral health, head of the family
