Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THE USE TRADITIONAL MEDICINES (WATER BOILED BAY LEAVES) IN HYPERTENSION PATIENT IN THE WORK AREA OF THE GIANYAR I HEALTH CENTER IN 2021 This Care Study s done at Work Area Puskesmas Gianyar I ABSTRACT Hypertension is also called “the silent disease” because there are no signs or symptoms that can be seen from the outside. Hypertension progresses slowly, but it is potentially very dangerous. Traditional medicine is a medical medium that uses plants containing natural ingredients as raw materials. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of traditional medicine (bay leaf boiled water) in hypertension sufferers in the working area of the Public health center Gianyar I. This research suggests a type of descriptive research with quantitative design. The study was conducted using a questionnaire sheet to 48 hypertension patient with the use of traditional medicines in the working area of the Health Center Gianyar I. Research results obtained by most of the respondents aged 40-45 years as many as 24 people (50%). Most of the respondents were female as many as 33 people (68,8%). From the education level most of them have high school education as many as 42 people (87,5%). Of the work, most of the respondents work as traders as many as 23 people (47,9%). The length of time the respondents suffered from hypertension for 2 years were 21 people (43,8%). The results of most of the respondents who consumed boiled water of bay leaves did not feel any complaints as many as 33 people (68,8%), consume boiled water 1x100 ml bay leaves as many as 28 people (58,3%), the results of most of the respondents consumed boiled water for < 1 month as many 42 people (87,5%). Perkembangan hipertensi berjalan secara perlahan, tetapi secara potensial sangat berbahaya. Obat tradisional adalah media pengobatan yang menggunakan tanaman dengan kandungan bahan-bahan alamiah sebagai bahan bakunya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran penggunaan obat tradisional (air rebusan daun salam) pada pasien hipertensi di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Gianyar I. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan desain kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar kuisioner terhadap 48 pasien hipertensi dengan penggunaan obat tradisional di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Gianyar I. Hasil penelitian diperoleh sebagian besar responden berusis 40-45 tahun sebanyak 24 orang (50%). Sebagian besar responden berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 33 orang (68,8%). Dari tingkat pendidikan sebagian besar berpendidikan SMA sebanyak 42 orang (87,5%). Dari pekerjaan sebagian besar responden bekerja sebagai pedagang sebanyak 23 orang (47,9%). Lamanya responden menderita hipertensi selama 2 tahun sebanyak 21 orang (43,8%). Hasil sebagian besar responden mengonsumsi air rebusan daun salam tidak merasakan keluhan sebanyak 33 orang (68,8%), mengonsumsi air rebusan daun salam 1x100 ml sebanyak 28 orang (58,3%), hasil sebagian besar responden mengonsumsi air rebusan daun salam < 1 bulan sebanyak 42 orang (87.5%).
