Abstract
Knowledge is the result of knowing and occurs after people sense a particular object. Dental caries are dental tissue diseases characterized by tissue damage starting from the surface of the tooth (niche, fissure, and interproximal area) extending towards the pulp. Dental caries can be experienced by everyone including pregnant women. The goal is to calculate the frequency of pregnant women who have very low, low, sufficient and high knowledge in Buleleng Regency in 2021. This type of research is descriptive research. Total respondents to the study were all pregnant women in kkn IPE area in Buleleng Regency in 2021. The results of research on pregnant women in Buleleng Regency in 2021 amounted to 30 respondents. no respondents had knowledge with very low criteria, three people or as many as (10%) respondents have a low level of knowledge, thirteen people or as many as (43%) have sufficient knowledge, and fourteen people or as many as (47%) have a high level of knowledge. It can be concluded that most pregnant women have knowledge of dental caries with a high category. The average knowledge of pregnant women about dental caries is in the high category.
