Abstract
Maintenance of oral health during pregnancy to prevent dental health problems during pregnancy. Health is influenced by the knowledge factor which is the result of "knowing" and this occurs after a person has made sensing which consists of the five human senses. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge on how to maintain dental health and brushing skills in pregnant women in Karangasem Regency in 2021. This type of research is a descriptive study of 48 respondents at the location of KKN IPE Health Polytechnic Ministry of Health Denpasar in 2021. The type of data collected was primary data and secondary data. Data on the level of knowledge and skills in brushing teeth were collected by giving a questionnaire in the form of a Google Form. The percentage of knowledge with very good criteria was 66%, 22% good criteria, 9% sufficient criteria, 3% less criteria. The average was 80.7. The percentage of brushing skills with very good criteria was 13%, with good criteria as much as 38%, sufficient criteria as much as 20%, and the criteria for needing guidance was 29% and the average of brushing skills was 65.6. The conclusion of this research is that the percentage of the knowledge level of pregnant women is at most with very good criteria as much as 66%, and the least with the criteria is less as much as 3%. The percentage of pregnant women brushing skills at most with good criteria was 38%, and the least was with very good criteria as much as 13%.
