Abstract
Taking care of dental and oral care aims to prevent problems on both dental and oral during pregnancy. It is something that needs attention. Poor dental and oral conditions in pregnant women will impact pregnancies such as premature births and babies born underweight. The study has the purpose to describe the knowledge of pregnant women about taking care of dental and oral care in Karangasem Regency in 2021. The type of research is a descriptive study. The data of pregnant women’s level knowledge about dental and oral care was collected by giving a questionnaire in the form of Google Form. The total number of respondents was 48 pregnant women. The frequency of knowledge of pregnant women that categorized as good criteria was 17 people 35.4%, as sufficient criteria were 24 people 50%, and as poor criteria were 7 people 14.6%, with the average knowledge of dental and oral care among pregnant women in Karangasem Regency with sufficient criteria amounted to 71.7. The result of the research shows that the frequency of knowledge of pregnant women about taking care dental and oral care in Karangasem Regency is 24 people (50%), and 7 people (14.6%) at least with poor criteria, based on occupation, at most with the unemployment rate of 21 people (43.7%), and the least with the occupation rate of midwives and craftsmen is one person (2.1%).
