Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF BLOOD PRESSURE IN CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE PATIENTS AT BANGLI GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2021 ABSTRACT Congestive heart failure is a condition when the heart is unable to pump enough blood around the body. Increased blood pressure is triggered by the presence of cardiac compensation to maintain cardiac output. The purpose of this study was to determine the blood pressure picture of congestive heart failure patients at Bangli Hospital in 2021. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with an observational design and uses a retrospective approach, in which the researcher only observes medical records regarding the blood pressure of patients with congestive heart failure on first admitted to hospital, hospitalization. day 3 hospitalization, and outpatient care. This research was conducted on 7-14 April 2021 in the Medical Record room of Bangli Hospital with a total sample of 32 samples, using consecutive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate the characteristics of congestive heart failure respondents, the most age was> 70 years as many as 13 respondents (41%) with the most gender were male as many as 23 respondents (72%). The most blood pressure during first admitted to hospital was normal as many as 13 respondents (41%), during the 3rd day of hospitalization the most was elevation by 12 respondents (25%), and during outpatient treatment the most was stage 1 hypertension by 15 respondents (47 %). Based on the results of the study, nurses are expected to continue to play a role in treating congestive heart failure patients to prevent re-hospitalization of patients with congestive heart failure.
