Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THE RESULTS OF FUNGI EXAMINATION IN PATIENTS SPUTUM AT MANGUSADA REGIONAL HOSPITAL BADUNG REGENCY ABSTRACT ABSTRAK Fungi is heterotrophic eukaryotic microorganisms that can cause respiratory tract infections. The pulmonary are respiratory organs that are often infected with fungi. Fungal infections in the respiratory tract have been very common, but the reporting is very limited. This study was conducted to determine the description of the results of fungal examinations in sputum patients at Mangusada Regional Hospital Badung Regency. This type of research is descriptive using secondary data from the examination of fungi on patients sputum in Mangusada Regional Hospital Badung Regency in 2019. From 304 data on patients who performed fungal examinations, obtained 147 (48.36%) positive, 157 (51.64%) negative. Based on age (<20 years) 0 (0%) positive, 0 (0%) negative; age (20-40 years) 11 (3.62%) positive, 21 (6.91%) negative; age (41-60 years) 45 (14.80%) positive, 56 (18,42%) negative; and age (> 60 years) 91 (29.93%) positive, 80 (26.32%) negative. Based on male 83 (27.30%) positive, 85 (27.96%) negative; and on women 64 (21.05%) positive, 72 (23,68%) negative. Whereas out of 107 patients who underwent pulmonary TB examination, positive pulmonary TB 6 (5.60%) were fungal positive, 8 (7.48%) were fungal negative; and Negative pulmonary TB 56 (52.34%) fungal positive, 37 (34.58%) fungal negative. The most positive fungus examination results were found in the age group> 60 years, the most sex positive fungi were male and the most positive mushroom examination results were found in patients with negative pulmonary TB events. This can be caused by a decrease in the patient's immune system in certain conditions so that fungal infections are easier to occur.
