Abstract

Knowledge of how to maintain oral hygiene is very important given from an early age. Oral and dental health maintenance and dental health development especially in school age children need special attention because in this child's child is undergoing the process of growth and development. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of knowledge about how to maintain oral hygiene in grade IV and V SDN 1 Batubulan Kangin students in June 2018. Type of data collected in this study is the type of primary data. This research is a descriptive study. The total study population amounted to 117 people. The results showed that the level of knowledge about how to maintain oral hygiene was highest with sufficient criteria of 34.19% (40 people) and the lowest on the criterion failed 5.13% (6 people). The average level of knowledge about how to maintain oral hygiene is 64.96 with sufficient criteria. Keywords: Level of Knowledge, Dental Hygiene and Mouth
