Abstract
ABSTRACT Self-maintenance behavior of the community in the maintenance of dental and oral health indicator is the variable brushing teeth. Correct behavior in brushing teeth of children over 10 years in Badung by 3,6%. This studyaimsto determine the skills of tooth brushing and dental hygiene and mouth of grade V students of SDN 4 Sibanggede, Kecamatan Abiansemal Year 2018.This research is descriptive research which uses total population of 35 students. The data collected are primary and secondary data. The results showed that students who have brushing skills with enough criteria as many as 45,71%, the criteria need 42,86% guidance, very good criteria as many as 11,43%, and no students who have good tooth brushing skills. The average brushing skills of grade V students is 53,71 with the criterion need guidance. Cleanliness of teeth and mouth of grade V students with good criteria as many as 51,42%, moderate criteria as many as 48,58%, and no students who have oral hygiene with bad criteria. The conclusion of this study is that most students have enough brushing skills criteria, with an average need for guidance and oral hygienegood criteria with an average of 1,33 with moderate criteria, where there is a gap of 0,13 with the target degree of cleanliness teeth and mouth of 2020 OHI-S is ≤1,2.
