Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF TOTAL PLATE COUNT AND IDENTIFICATION Escherichia coli IN NUTRITION INSTALLATION OFFICERS HANDS IN MANGUSADA REGIONAL HOSPITAL BADUNG REGENCY ABSTRACT Incidence of nosocomial infection in Mangusada Regional Hospital in Badung regancy was 0,28 – 3,86%. Hands are one of the extrinsic factors that can cause nosocomial infection in patients. The research objective was to determine the total number of bacteria and the presence of Escherichia coli bacteria in the hands of Nutrition Installation officers at the Mangusada Regional Hospital in Badung Regency. Total sample as many as 16 samples consisting of nutrition installation officer. Sample selection method is purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The number of bacteria obtained from cultures of bacteria on Plate Count Agar media do with culture and identification used Chromocult Coliform Agar. The results were analyzed descriptively and presented in tables. The results of the study were analyzed descriptively and presented in tabular form. From the results of the ALT examination, it was found that all (100%) of the hand swab samples met the WHO 2009 standard. The identification results showed negative results of the Escherichia coli bacteria. Keywords: nosocomial infection, total plate number, Escherichia coli GAMBARAN ANGKA LEMPENG TOTAL DAN IDENTIFIKASI Escherichia coli PADA TANGAN PETUGAS INSTALASI GIZI DI RUMAH SAKIT DAERAH MANGUSADA KABUPATEN BADUNG ABSTRAK Kejadian infeksi nosokomial di Rumah Sakit Daerah Mangusada Kabupaten Badung yaitu 0,28 – 3,86%. Tangan merupakan salah satu faktor ekstrinsik yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya infeksi nosokomial pada pasien. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui jumlah angka lempeng total dan adanya bakteri Escherichia coli pada tangan petugas Instalasi Gizi di Rumah Sakit Daerah Mangusada Kabupaten Badung. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 16 sampel yang terdiri dari pramusaji dan juru masak. Metode pemilihan sample adalah purposive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Jumlah bakteri didapatkan dari kultur bakteri pada media Plate Count Agar dan identifikasi dilakukan dengan kultur bakteri pada media chromocult coliform agar. Hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Dari hasil pemeriksaan ALT, menunjukkan bahwa seluruh (100%) sampel swab tangan memenuhi standar berdasarkan WHO 2009. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan hasil negatif adaya bakteri Escherichia coli. Kata kunci: infeksi nosokomial, angka lempeng total, Escherichia coli
