Abstract

Abstract : Knowledge is the result of knowing someone about an object, whereas attitude is a person's response to the object. Knowledge and attitude is one of the factors causing abortion, teenagers who have low knowledge about the dangers of abortion will tend to choose to have an abortion if they are pregnant outside of marriage or unwanted pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of knowledge and attitudes of young women about abortion in SMK Negeri 1 Manggis. The method used in this research is descriptive with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were 30 class X students who met the inclusion criteria. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with simpel random sampling method. The instrument used was a questionnaire of 25 items. The results showed that of the 30 respondents having good knowledge of 15 respondents (50%), 13 people were knowledgeable enough (43%) and as many as 2 respondents were knowledgeable enough. The attitudes of adolescent SMK 1 Manggis about abortion in 2020 had a positive attitude 18 respondents (60%) and 12 respondents (40%) had a negative attitude The conclusion was the description of knowledge and attitudes of young women about abortion in SMKN 1 Manggis 2020 showed a good knowledge value with a positive attitude that supports teenagers to judge about aborsi.
