Abstract

ABSTRACT The benefits of exclusive breastfeeding are enormous for the growth and development of infants, immunologists, and psychologists and also the economy. While the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding are obvious for mothers and infants, the exclusive feeding of the infant is still low. One of the factors affecting mothers in providing exclusive breastfeeding is self-confidence (self-efficacy) in breastfeeding or breastfeeding self efficacy. This literature review aims to examine research articles that examine the correlation of breastfeeding self efficacy level with giving exclusive breastfeeding. The data in this literature review uses three databases (Google scholar, Garuda Portal, and Pubmed) searched between 2015 and 2020 in the form of research reports and reviews that discuss the level of breastfeeding self efficacy and giving exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords are breastfeeding self efficacy and giving exclusive breastfeeding. After the selection of article contents, obtained 7 articles that accordance with the discussion. One of the factors affecting the exclusive breastfeeding is self-efficacy or breastfeeding self efficacy. The higher the level of breastfeeding self efficacy in breastfeeding mother, the more likely the mother is to give exclusive breastfeeding. Breastfeeding self efficacy has an important role in determining the action of mothers in giving exclusive breastfeeding ABSTRAK Manfaat pemberian ASI eksklusif sangat besar untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi, imunologis, dan psikologis serta ekonomi.
