Abstract

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF FOOD HANDLERS PERSONAL HYGIENE IN SMPN 2 GIANYAR’S CANTEEN IN 2018 ABSTRACT Food is a basic need, it needs to be processed properly and appropriately to be beneficial for our body. Canteen is a room inside a building that used for eating food brought from home or purchased at the canteen. Canteen has to follow sanitary procedures and food handlers personal hygiene. The purpose of this study is to understand the implementation of food handlers personal hygiene at SMPN 2 Gianyar’s canteen in 2018. The result of this study is compared wih Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 1098/Menkes/SK/VII/2003. Nine out of twelve observed samples have good knowledge of personal hygene, while three samples are in the category of having moderate knowledge of personal hygiene.
