Abstract
In adolescence there is a rapid growth that requires proper nutrition in terms of quantity, type of food, and frequency. Wrong teenage eating behavior can cause nutritional problems such as being overweight. Overweight is weight that exceeds the ideal body weight caused by accumulation of fat tissue. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge, energy consumption and fiber consumption with the overweight status of young women in Denpasar City. This type of research is observational with a cross-sectional design. The sample obtained was 97 female students. Statistical testing using spearman correlation. Sample age characteristics 13-14 years. The level of knowledge of the sample was mostly in the good category of 93 people (95.9%). The level of energy consumption in the good category is 61 people (62.9%), the average consumption of fiber is 6.11 grams and fiber consumption of all samples is less than 30 grams/day. Samples with overweight status were 15 people (15.5%) and non overweightstatus were 82 people (84.5%). The statistical test results found no relationship between the level of knowledge with the level of energy consumption, there was no relationship between the level of knowledge with fiber consumption, there was a relationship between the level of energy consumption with overweight status with a value of p <0.05, and there was no relationship between fiber consumption with overweight status.
