Abstract
ABSTRACT DESCRIPTION OF DENTAL CARIES ON TODDLER AND LEVEL KNOWLEDGE PARENTS OF DENTAL CARIES Study performed in Posyandu Batan Buah Village Abiansemal District on Badung Regency 2019 Year Dental caries is a dental tissue disease marked by tissue damage, starting from tooth surface spread towards the pulp. The prevalence of caries in children aged 1 until 4 years in Indonesia by 10,9%. Toddlers are very susceptible to dental caries because they habe less supportive behavior habits in oral and dental health. The purpose of this research is to know the description of dental caries on toddler and the level of parent knowledge about dental caries in posyandu of Batan Buah village abiansemal district on Badung regency 2019. This research is a descriptive conducted at posyandu of Batan Buah village, in May 2019. Population is toddlers and biological parents or guardians who visited at posyandu batan buah village which amounted to 50 people. Result of the research on toddler dental caries obtained 43 children (86%) suffered dental caries, the mean caries of deciduous teeth is 4,5 and belong high category. Parents knowledge of the dental caries with very good category as 37 people (74%) and no parents who has a level of knowledge fails.
