Abstract
Adolescence is a period of physical and mental change from childhood. In adolescence, rapid physical changes and hormonal changes are the triggers of premarital sex. Health education is one way to reduce the occurrence of premarital sex, one of the media that can be used for health education is WhatsApp. This study aims to determine the effect of periodic health education through WhatsApp reminder on adolescent attitudes regarding premarital sex at SMKN 2 Sukawati in 2019. The research design used was one-group pre-post test design. The number of samples was 36 people who were selected by the quota sampling technique. The study was conducted from April to May 2019. Data collection used an attitude questionnaire regarding premarital sex. The results of this study were the average attitudes of adolescents before being given health education at 62.61 and after being given health education at 68.97. Hypothesis testing uses paired t-test with p value = 0,000 (p <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is a regular influence of health education through WhatsApp reminder on adolescent attitudes regarding premarital sex furthermore, it is recommended to do health education using WhatsApp media.
