Abstract
ABSTRACT Febrile seizures are seizures that occur at a temperature rise of 38ºC which usually occurs in infants. This study aims to determine the effect of health education with leaflet media on the knowledge of mothers in first aid febrile seizures. The population is 56 people with a sample of 33 people. The type of Pre-Experimental design design used is One-group pre-post design using simple random sampling. The results of the Pre-test with leaflet media of 2 people had enough knowledge of 5.6%, and 31 people of knowledge were less than 94.4%. Post-test results with leaflet media good knowledge 23 people 72.2% and enough knowledge 9 people 25.0% and less knowledge only 1 person 2.8%. The results of the study were tested by Wilcoxon statistical test, the value of p = 0,000. Because the value of p <α 0.05, then H0 is rejected, it can be concluded that there is an effect of health education with leaflet media on the knowledge of mothers in first aid febrile seizures in the Banjar Peninjoan Village of Batuan Gianyar. Suggestion that cadres and puskesmas can use leaflet media to provide health education. Keywords: Fever Seizures, Knowledge, Media Leaflets ABSTRAK Kejang demam adalah bangkitan kejang yang terjadi pada kenaikan suhu 38ºC biasanya terjadi pada balita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dengan media leaflet terhadap pengetahuan ibu dalam pertolongan pertama kejang demam. Populasi berjumlah 56 orang dengan jumlah sampel 33 orang. Jenis penelitian Pre-Experimental design rancangan yang digunakan yaitu One-group pre-post design menggunakan simple random sampling. Hasil Pre-test dengan media leaflet 2 orang pengetahuan cukup 5,6%, dan 31 orang pengetahuan kurang 94,4%. Hasil Post-test dengan media leaflet pengetahuan baik 23 orang 72,2% dan pengetahuan cukup 9 orang 25,0% dan pengetahuan kurang hanya 1 orang 2,8%. Hasil penelitian diuji dengan uji statistik wilcoxon, didapatkan nilai nilai p = 0,000. Karena nilai p < α 0,05, maka H0 ditolak, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dengan media leaflet terhadap pengetahuan ibu dalam pertolongan pertama kejang demam di banjar Peninjoan Desa Batuan Gianyar. Saran agar kader dan puskesmas dapat mempergunakan media leaflet untuk memberikan edukasi kesehatan. Kata Kunci : Kejang Demam, Pengetahuan, Media Leaflet
