Abstract
Oral hygiene is a condition that frees teeth from plaques and calculus. Oral hygiene can be measured by an index called the Oral Hygiene Index Simplified (OHI-S). According to 2007 Rikesdas in Bali Province the second highest percentage of smokers was found in Tabanan (23,5%). This study aimed to describe the level of dental and oral hygiene in conventional smokers and electric smokers in Babahan Village, Tabanan Regency in 2019. The research conducted was a descriptive study using a total population of 30 adolescent smokers. The results of this study were the percentage of OHI-S adolescents with conventional smokers as many as 15 people with criteria either none (0%), moderate criteria as many as 13 people (86.67%), and poor criteria as two people (13.33%). With average of 2.16 was included in the criteria of being. The percentage of OHI-S adolescents with electric smokers was 15 people with criteria that are either non-existent (0%), medium criteria were 15 people (100%), and poor criteria did not-exist (0%). With an average of 1.83 included in moderate criteria. The conclusion of this study was the percentage of OHI-S adolescents conventional smokers with moderate criteria of 13 people (86.67%), with an average of 2.61 criteria being moderate. The percentage of OHI-S adolescents with moderate criteria electric smokers were 15 people (100%), with an average of 1.83 in being moderate.
