Abstract
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEVELS OF POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH AND SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING AMONG BREAST CANCER PATIENTS AT BALI MANDARA GENERAL HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Breast cancer is a chronic disease that can affect patients’ physical, psychological, and social well-being. This experience can trigger psychological changes, including posttraumatic growth and subjective well-being. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of posttraumatic growth and subjective well-being in breast cancer patients at Bali Mandara Regional General Hospital. This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 75 breast cancer patients selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory-Short Form (PTGI-SF), the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), and the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), and were analyzed using the Spearman rank test. The results showed that the majority of respondents had high levels of posttraumatic growth (48.00%), high life satisfaction (37.33%), high positive affect (44.00%), and low negative affect (45.33%). The analysis revealed a significant relationship between posttraumatic growth and life satisfaction (p=0.001) and positive affect (p=0.034), whereas the relationship with negative affect was not significant (p=0.791). This study concludes that there is a relationship between posttraumatic growth and subjective well-being among breast cancer patients at Bali Mandara Regional General Hospital.
