Abstract
Limitation in hearing and speaking ability becomes one of some obstacles for the deaf children to convey information about dental and oral health. This research intends to obtain the description of OHI-S toward the deaf children with listening impairment in SLB in Jembrana Regency in 2019. This research belongs to descriptive research. It uses primary and secondary data. The respondents in this research are all of the deaf children with hearing impairment in SLB in Jembrana in 2019. The total number of the deaf children is 36 peoples. The findings show that none of the OHI-S frequency categorized in good criteria. Moreover, there are 10 peoples belongs to medium criteria. Then, there are 26 peoples are categorized as bad criteria. The amount of OHI-S of deaf children with hearing impairment in SLB in Jembrana Regency is 123,34 with the average equals to 3,43. The conclusion of this research is the deaf children with hearing impairment obtaining the biggest number of OHI-S goes to bad criteria with 26 number of peoples and equals to 72%, the medium criteria gets 10 peoples with the percentage equals to 27,8% and the lowest rate of OHI-S belongs to good criteria with 0%. The average of OHI-S is 3,43 with bad criteria.
