Abstract

Indonesia's healthy development goals in 2015 are to increase awareness, willingness and ability to live healthy for everyone. Oral health is done to maintain and improve public health. Quality of health human resources, improvement of moral values, knowledge and skills. The staff of nutrition installation for general hospitals in Karangasem Regency have human resources, amounting to 41 people, with diverse educational backgrounds. Based on the dental clinic diary of the nutrition installation staff of the Karangasem district general hospital in the last three months, there were eight people going to the dental clinic with dental and mouth complaints and there was an employee referred to Sanglah with a case of necrotic tooth abscess accompanied by trimmed 36 and finally hospitalization because the patient cannot open his mouth for about one week. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of nutrition staff employees of Karangasem Regency general hospital on oral health in 2019. This study was a cross-sectional descriptive design. Data was collected using a questionnaire test on all nutrition installation employees of the regional general hospital Karangasem Regency. Results based on the level of education, it was found that the level of knowledge of employees about oral health is very well located for employees with high school education. level / equivalent, Diploma and junior high school, which is as much as 61%. The conclusion is: based on the education level of the nutrition installation staff of the Karangasem District general hospital the average level of knowledge about oral health is very good
